I am a California Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY 27899) providing comprehensive psychological assessment and therapy services at my San Rafael private practice.  Prior to earning my doctorate and M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the Wright Institute (accredited by the American Psychological Association), I earned a Masters of Education and teaching credential in Elementary Education. I worked as a elementary school teacher for several years and gained experience supporting diverse learners. I completed my pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Ann Martin Center, where I provided child/family therapy and neuropsychological assessment to children and adolescents. I continued to support children, teens, and adults as the staff psychologist at local non-profits and community mental health centers. I also continue to train and supervise graduate students learning to provide therapeutic and assessment services.

I have over 13 years of psychotherapy and neuropsychological testing experience with individuals of all ages.  While I have significant experience with younger clientele, I am also quite experienced in helping adults navigate the transitions and common challenges that we all face: moves, losses, school, relationships, jobs, illnesses, drugs/alcohol, and dealing with family stressors.  I am well-versed with issues of depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and chronic illness.  These sorts of struggles are common, and it can be quite helpful to have someone to talk to.  I create a safe, collaborative environment in order for my clients to be able to embrace hope, develop improved coping skills, and gain new insight to improve their lives in meaningful ways.

Comprehensive psychological assessment is my specialty and my approach is collaborative and supportive.  Assessments can be useful for diagnostic clarification and in obtaining personalized recommendations and appropriate accommodations for school, work, or standardized testing situations.  A good assessment can clarify and help you understand your (or your loved one's) struggles with learning, executive functioning, attention/concentration, memory, behavioral issues, emotional regulation, and interpersonal functioning.  Ultimately, the goal is to provide you with deeper knowledge of your strengths and areas of difficulty, so that you can take appropriate steps to improve your overall functioning and thrive.

Currently, I provide comprehensive psychological testing and psychotherapy at my San Rafael office (and virtually when appropriate).  I look forward to speaking with you to answer any questions you may have about getting started.
